2019 Entertainment Bookings

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow…  Nothing screams “Airdrie Festival of Lights” more than this blanket of fresh snow on the ground!  We hope you are all warm and safe today!  We also have some very exciting updates to our event, including the recent launch of our completely overhauled website, www.airdrielights.com!  Take a peak, and let us know what you think.  There is a survey at the bottom of the Contact Page, we’d love to hear from you.  You can also, keep up to date with our bookings of entertainment, to see what’s left for you and your group (I’ll be updating as we confirm dates and times <https://airdrielights.com/visit/festival-events/>

It seems only fitting, that with all this snow we start booking our acts for the 2019 Season.  We have heard from several groups already, but we are always looking to expand and help promote our local talent!
Returning this year is our Performing Arts Sponsor, Ambition Performing Arts Inc.  As our official sponsor, they have been given first choice of dates to perform, along with many other fabulous benefits!  Their confirmed dates for the 2019 season are, Sunday, December 15th, 6-7pm, and Friday, December 20th, 6-7pm.
Any remaining dates are open and available to select for your groups, on a first come basis!  If you are interested in performing, please send me an email to info@airdrielights.com as soon as possible with your preference of dates and times.  I will also need a brief outline of your performance.  Time slots are generally one hour in length, and performances can be between 6pm – 9pm, December 1st – 31st.
You will be performing inside our heated tent, unless you prefer to be roving on the pathways (please specify)  The ground surface you’ll be performing on is grass, there is no stage available.  Power is available for you to use, but is limited to extension cord access only.  You are responsible for providing all your own props, equipment, including sound equipment if needed, and any specialty power supplies.  Should your group have equipment or larger materials to be brought in, you will be granted vehicle access on our pathways to the tent.  Before any vehicle enters the park onto the pathway, you MUST have a Night Leader present to escort you (NO EXCEPTIONS). Once again, we will be implementing strict Move In/Out times (for those requiring vehicle access).  Alternately, vehicles that are loaded with equipment will be granted access to the lower parking lot close to the tent, but you will need to carry equipment across the pathways (approx. 100’).  All performers will need to park in the upper parking lot.  If you are dropping off a performer, you may do so at the drop off / pick up area close to the poinsettia arch entrance.
  • Vehicle Access – Move In between 5:00 – 5:30 pm.
  • Vehicle Access – Move Out will only be allowed after 9pm.
If you are able to carry your equipment to and from the tent, you may move at any time.
