Airdrie Festival of Lights

Admission to the Airdrie Festival of Lights is free, with donations gratefully accepted! For those who are able, we suggest $10–$20 per family or $1–$5 per person for bus groups. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their ability to donate.

Your generosity helps us maintain our displays, cover operating expenses, and continue this holiday tradition for future generations.

Look for our friendly Festival Ambassadors at the brightly coloured Toy Soldier Guard Houses, along with our mascots and their Jingle Jugs! Donations can be made by cash or contactless TipTap. Please note that we cannot accept food donations in place of monetary contributions.

Planning a visit with a large group or charter bus? Contact us in advance! We can arrange for an ambassador to welcome your group and help coordinate advance purchases of hot chocolate and miniature train tickets.

The Airdrie Festival of Lights is open December 1–31, from 6–9 PM every evening, including Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve!

Christmas Day is LIGHTS ONLY, giving our volunteers time to celebrate with their families. Visitors are still welcome to enjoy the illuminated displays.

For the safety of our volunteers and visitors, when temperatures reach -25°C or colder, including wind chill, the Festival operates as LIGHTS ONLY. Train rides, concessions and other staffed activities will not operate, but the lights remain on!
