SETUP DAY ONE | 9 AM
It's time to bring the Festival to life!
After a week of moving equipment and displays into Nose Creek Regional Park, we're ready to welcome our volunteers for the first big day of setup.
New volunteers: Registration begins at 8:30 AM.
Returning volunteers: See you at 9 AM!
It takes approximately 1,500 volunteer hours to prepare the Festival for opening night. Whether you can join us for the whole day or just a few hours, every helping hand makes a difference.
Bring your family, friends, and neighbours. There's plenty to do, and we'd love to have you!

SETUP DAY TWO | 9 AM
The work continues as our volunteers transform Nose Creek Regional Park into a Christmas wonderland!
There's still plenty to do, from assembling displays to getting everything ready for opening night.
Whether you helped yesterday or are joining us for the first time, we'd love to see you. Every pair of hands brings us one step closer to December 1!

LIGHT UP THE NIGHT! | 5:30 PM

There's nothing quite like the moment Nose Creek Park lights up for the first time each season!
Join us at 5:30 PM as we gather to celebrate the beginning of another Festival of Lights season. Pick up a candy cane from our local firefighters, enjoy a festive sing-along with the choir, and share in the excitement as our community comes together for opening night.
We'll hear a few words from our community representatives, the Airdrie Festival of Lights Society, and our friends at FortisAlberta before the moment we've all been waiting for.
At 5:55 PM, the countdown begins!
Together, we'll light the first tree, followed by the illumination of hundreds of displays throughout Nose Creek Park.
It's the moment that marks the beginning of another December filled with lights, laughter, and memories waiting to be made.

AIRDRIE COMMUNITY CHOIR | 6:30 PM
Celebrate Opening Night with the wonderful voices of the Airdrie Community Choir!
Following our Light Up the Night tree lighting ceremony, the choir will join us inside the heated Festival Tent for a special holiday performance.
Come in from the cold, enjoy some familiar Christmas favourites, and share a little more holiday magic as we welcome another Festival season!

ROCKY VIEW SUZUKI VIOLIN SCHOOL | 7:00–8:00 PM
Join us as the talented musicians from Rocky View Suzuki Violin School return to the Airdrie Festival of Lights!
Come enjoy an evening of live violin music as these local students share their talents and celebrate the holiday season with our community.
Performances take place inside our heated Festival Tent.

AIRDRIE SANTA CLAUS PARADE | 5 PM
Look for the Airdrie Festival of Lights in this year's Santa Claus Parade!
Our Servus Credit Union Express Train will be joining the festivities, bringing a little Festival magic to the streets of Airdrie.
Give our volunteers a wave as we roll by, and then come visit us at Nose Creek Regional Park throughout December!

AMBITION PERFORMING ARTS | TIME TO BE CONFIRMED
Join us as Ambition Performing Arts, our Event Stage Sponsor, brings the magic of live performance to the Airdrie Festival of Lights!
Come cheer on their talented performers as they share their love of dance and the performing arts with our Festival visitors.
We're delighted to welcome APA to the stage for a special evening of community entertainment!

EMERGENCY SERVICES NIGHT | 6–9 PM
An evening celebrating the people who are there for our community when we need them most!
Join us as members of Airdrie Fire, RCMP, EMS, Calgary Search and Rescue, and the Airdrie Health Foundation trade their usual duties for a night of Festival fun.
You'll find them driving trains, serving hot chocolate, helping in the Kids Only Store, and taking on other volunteer roles throughout the park.
Many will also bring vehicles and displays, giving families a chance to meet the people behind these essential services.
Emergency Services Night gives the people who are there for our worst moments a chance to be part of our happiest ones.

OLD FASHIONED SKATING PARTY | 6–9 PM
Take a step back in time with our friends at Nose Creek Valley Museum for an old-fashioned skating party!
Bring your family, friends, and skates for an evening on the pond, surrounded by illuminated holiday displays. Afterwards, warm up by the fire pits with a cup of hot chocolate or apple cider.
No skates? No problem! Nose Creek Valley Museum will have FREE skate rentals available at the skate shack.
Please note: No hockey sticks or hockey games during this event.

CPKC HOLIDAY TRAIN | 5:30–6 PM
The CPKC Holiday Train is rolling into Airdrie!
Join us at Nose Creek Park for this much-loved holiday tradition, featuring a spectacular illuminated train and live performances by Sam Roberts Band and Owen Riegling.
This FREE community event supports the Airdrie Food Bank. Visitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations or make a monetary contribution to help local families. Food donations can be dropped off at the Airdrie Food Bank trailer near the train performance area.
The Airdrie Festival of Lights will illuminate the park early at 5 PM to welcome the Holiday Train, adding even more sparkle to this special evening!
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION
There is no general public parking at Nose Creek Park or Nose Creek Valley Museum during the Holiday Train event. Accessible parking and authorized vehicle access are managed separately.
Shuttle service and additional parking information will be shared once 2026 arrangements are confirmed.

CHRISTMAS DAY | LIGHTS ONLY | 6–9 PM
Stuffed? We've Got Room for You!
Had your fill of turkey, treats, and Christmas cheer? Bundle up the family and head to Nose Creek Park for a peaceful stroll beneath the lights!
Christmas Day is LIGHTS ONLY, giving our wonderful volunteers the opportunity to enjoy the holiday with their own families.
No regular Festival activities tonight, just a beautiful park full of lights and a little time together.
Come walk off the turkey and share the GLOW!

NEW YEAR'S EVE FAMILY SKATE NIGHT | 6–9 PM
In partnership with Nose Creek Valley Museum
Celebrate the final evening of the Festival season with a little old-fashioned winter fun!
Bring your family and friends for an evening of skating on Nose Creek Pond, surrounded by the glow of hundreds of holiday displays. Warm up around the fire pits with a cup of hot chocolate or apple cider, and enjoy one last evening of making memories together before the new year begins.
No skates? No problem! Our friends at Nose Creek Valley Museum will be offering FREE skate rentals at the onsite skate shack.
Please note that hockey and sticks are not permitted during this event.

NEW YEAR'S EVE FIREWORKS | A VIEW FROM THE FESTIVAL
The City of Airdrie's New Year's Eve fireworks are a wonderful way to welcome the New Year!
While the fireworks take place at Ed Eggerer Park, visitors celebrating with us at Nose Creek Regional Park can also enjoy a lovely view of the display.
From our little corner of Airdrie, the colourful fireworks light up the sky, with the booming sounds softened by the distance. It's a lovely option for families with young children or four-legged friends who prefer a quieter experience.
Enjoy the Festival lights, take in the fireworks, and help us celebrate the final evening of another wonderful season!

The lights have gone out on another wonderful season at the Airdrie Festival of Lights!
From first-time visitors to families who have made the Festival a holiday tradition for generations, thank you for spending part of your December with us.
To our incredible volunteers, generous sponsors, community partners, and everyone who helped make our 31st season possible, we couldn't do it without you!
The Festival is now closed for the season, but the memories will keep shining.
We look forward to welcoming you back December 1, 2027, for another season of holiday magic.
