Get Your Glow On.
For more than three decades, the Airdrie Festival of Lights has brought our community together each December in Nose Creek Park. What began as a local idea in 1996 has grown into one of Airdrie's most enduring holiday traditions, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors each season.
Operated by the Airdrie Festival of Lights Society, the Festival is powered by volunteers, community partners and sponsors who help us keep the experience accessible while creating opportunities to give back to the community we call home.

The Airdrie Festival of Lights was created to bring people together,
and that purpose continues to guide us today.
Each December, we welcome our community to enjoy a free,
family-friendly holiday tradition in Nose Creek Park.
Behind the lights is a volunteer-run, non-profit Society
committed not only to creating a memorable Festival,
but to supporting the community that has supported us
for more than 30 years.
Through partnerships, volunteer opportunities and community giving,
the GLOW reaches far beyond the park.
The Airdrie Festival of Lights is created and operated by an independent, volunteer-run non-profit Society. We do not receive annual operating funding from the City of Airdrie.
Each year, hundreds of volunteers, sponsors, community partners and visitors help make it possible to keep the Festival free to attend. Planning and preparation continue throughout the year, long before the first lights come on in December.
And the impact reaches well beyond Nose Creek Park. Since 1996, AFOLS has returned more than $500,000 to over 50 charities, youth groups and non-profit organizations through community giving and fundraising opportunities.
That’s the GLOW at work.
What began as a community idea in 1996 has grown into one of Airdrie’s longest-running holiday traditions.
Hundreds of volunteers help bring the Festival to life each December. Whether you have a few hours to give or want to get involved throughout the season, there’s a place for you in the GLOW.
Our Volunteer Program is proudly sponsored by Propak.
The Airdrie Festival of Lights Society is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors who provide year-round leadership, planning and stewardship for the Festival.
Our sponsors are part of what makes the Festival possible. Through meaningful community partnerships, local businesses and organizations help create an experience enjoyed by tens of thousands of visitors each season, and become part of a tradition Airdrie has shared for more than three decades.
